All the world’s a page.
Desktop apps for essays and books, where nothing changes your words until you say so.
Bōcere Student
A writer of essays, who lets no machine write for them.
The AI guides. You write. Every word in the essay came from your keyboard.
- MLA, APA or plain, on US Letter, with Works Cited and References set with hanging indents.
- Word and PDF export, and it opens the Word files you already have.
- Your own AI, kept in its place. The AI app you already use can read, ask and comment through the connector. It can never type into your essay.
- A record you can hand in of everything the AI did, inside the Word file or as its own document.
- Nothing to sign up for. Student has no account and makes no network connections.
- Each essay is a single file, saved wherever you choose.

More about ScribeNobody on the island had seen the mainland in January, not since the ferry stopped running the year the harbour froze. Mara kept the timetable anyway, pinned above the stove, its corners gone soft with smoke.
She knew every crossing by heart: the seven o’clock that carried the post, the noon boat with the doctor on Thursdays, the last one home, when the lamps came on along the pier and her father counted the passengers down the gangway as if one of them might be missing.
That winter, one of them was.
The letter came in March, folded twice, in a hand she did not know. It asked a single question, and she read it standing up, still in her coat, while the kettle boiled dry behind her.

More about ScholarNothing changes your words until you say so.
Your work stays in plain files on your own computer. Every change someone else proposes arrives as a tracked change: your editor’s in Scribe, your own AI’s in Student. Try it.

Your files, your disk
Essays and books are plain Markdown files on your computer. If you stop using Bōcere, your writing is still yours, readable in any text editor.
Suggestions, never rewrites
An editor or an AI can propose. Only you accept. Rejected means your sentence stays exactly as you wrote it.
Bring your own AI
Student connects to the AI app you already pay for, through a connector you switch on. Planned for Scribe and Scholar.
The dumb show.
In the old playhouse, a dumb show was a scene played without words. These are silent recordings of the real app, Bōcere Scribe, laying out the public-domain Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland at 6 × 9 inches. Nothing is mocked up.

Questions.
Does Bōcere write my book or essay for me?
No. Bōcere is where you write. Changes from an editor or an AI arrive as suggestions you accept or reject, and Student never lets an AI type into your essay.
Where are my files kept?
On your computer, as plain Markdown files: one file per essay in Student, a folder of chapters per book in Scribe and Scholar. You can open them in any text editor.
Which computers does it run on?
Mac and Windows. Bōcere is a desktop app, not a website.
Is Bōcere connected to Amazon?
No. Scribe makes files that meet Kindle Direct Publishing’s requirements; you upload them to KDP yourself.
When can I buy it?
Not yet. Join the waitlist and we’ll write once, when the apps are ready.
Be in the house on opening night.
Bōcere isn’t for sale yet. Leave your email and we’ll write once, when the apps are ready. Asking about Scholar or an editor plan? Say so when sign-ups open.
